Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 June 2026
Inkwell, by YouNewX, respects your privacy. This explains what we collect and why. We keep it minimal.
What we collect
- The letter details you type (names, occasion, tone, your memory/notes) — used only to generate your letter.
- Your email — only if you choose to give it (for a template, your saved letter, or launch perks).
- A random anonymous ID stored in a cookie so we can keep track of your free letters and credits. It is not linked to your identity.
- Basic usage analytics (pages viewed, clicks) to improve the Service.
How your letter is generated
To write your letter, the details you enter are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, which generates the text and returns it. We don't sell your inputs and we don't use your private letter content to advertise to you.
Service providers we use
- Anthropic — generates your letters.
- Stripe & NOWPayments — process payments (they handle your payment details, not us).
- Microsoft Clarity — anonymous heatmaps/analytics to improve the page.
- Vercel — hosting and secure storage of your credits/email.
Cookies
We use a single first-party cookie to remember your session and credits, plus analytics cookies from Clarity. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time.
Data retention & your rights
We keep your email and account data only as long as needed to run the Service. You can ask us to access or delete your data by emailing hello@younewx.com, and you can unsubscribe from emails at any time.
